- Call to Order andRoll Call
Chair Tom Roberts called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Roll call was taken. Planning Commission members present were: Foster Carroll, Glena Hoffman, Irene Fetsch and Tom Roberts.Staff present: City Manager Gerald Breazeale and City Clerk Penny Moore.
No audience present.
Approve Minutes from the October 4, 2011 Planning Commission Meeting
There was a correction to the minutes on page 2, item #4, first paragraph, the word revoke will be changed to invoke. It was moved by Commissioner Roberts and seconded by Commissioner Carroll to approve the October 4, 2011 minutes with the correction. Vote was taken. Motion carried unanimously.
- Ordinance Adopted by Council
City Manager Gerald Breazeale commended the planning commissioners on the work that was done over the past few months involving the four ordinances on city code that was taken to the city council meeting October 18, 2011. Ordinance No. 208-11 to amend city code, nuisance, and definitions of inoperable vehicles, Ordinance No. 209-11 prescribing to the permitted legal growing of medical marijuana In Irrigon, Ordinance No. 210-11, providing for one inoperable vehicle to be allowed to be kept for a parts vehicle and establishing a permit procedure for such use, and Ordinance No. 211-11, amending city code title 10, chapter 1, article b enforcement, general provisions, administration and definitions, section 10-1b-3(a), penalty, class 1 penalty, to provide for a fine amount, all four ordinances passed.
Manager Breazeale stated that the ordinance pertaining to the inoperable vehicle, parts vehicle had the most discussion, however it was adopted. Mayor Burns suggested that the planning commissioners have a work session with the city council. It was stated that Chair Roberts and Commissioner Fetsch were present at the October 18, 2011 city council meeting.
